  1. Holding the lens parallel to the upper sclera, slide the lens under the upper lid.

  3. Be sure to hold the lens parallel to the sclera so the edge does not dig into the conjunctiva.  If the edge digs into the conjunctiva it can cause discomfort and possibly a subconjunctival hemorrhage.
